Paramount Waders Size Chart: How to Pick a Size

The Paramount waders size chart is a single chart image on the Paramount Outdoors size charts page, with a copy of the chart on the product pages, and you use it by matching your measurements to the row for the wader you are buying. The text of that chart did not come through in the pages I could read, so this page does not repeat any numbers. It explains what the maker's pages and our data say about sizes (Small to 4XL, Regular and Stout, plus numbered boot sizes on bootfoot pairs), how to size stockingfoot and bootfoot pairs, and what to check before you order.

Two pairs of waders laid out showing different lengths and widths

Short answer

Use the chart on the Paramount page for the exact wader you are buying. The maker's size charts page is built around one chart image, and the product pages link a chart image too. Because the contents of those images are not available as text, I can't describe the measurements it uses, and I am not going to guess. What I can do is show you what the pages and our data say about sizes, and how to approach each foot type.

Background on the maker and the pairs we track is on the Paramount brand page. For how to take your own measurements, see our general wader size chart guide.

What the Paramount pages say

From the Deep Eddy Breathable Stockingfoot Chest Wader page:

From the size charts page, the navigation groups Paramount's lines as Breathable Waders, Camo Waders, Bootfoot Waders, Women's/Youth and Wading Boots. That tells you the lines exist. It does not tell you how the chart treats them.

Regular and stout wader shapes hanging side by side

Regular and Stout

On Paramount, Stout is a separate set of sizes. In our Amazon US data, the Deep Eddy and the Deep Eddy Zippered chest waders list Stout sizes alongside the regular ones: MD-Stout, LG-Stout, XL-Stout, XX-Stout and 3X-Stout. No other Paramount wader in our data carries the label.

Neither the Deep Eddy page nor the chart page I could read defines Stout in words. In the guides I have read for other makers, Stout means a fuller build at a similar height, but each maker draws the line in its own place. So the way to use it is simple: if the regular size fits your height but is tight through the body, open the Stout row for the same letter and compare the girth numbers. Do not pick Stout from the label alone.

Stockingfoot sizing

Most Paramount waders we track are breathable stockingfoot pairs. You buy the wader in a letter size, and the neoprene bootie inside is part of the wader, so a foot range comes with the letter. The boots are separate. Our stockingfoot waders page explains the arrangement.

For the boots, follow the page for the boot you buy. The Deep Eddy wading boots page says they are sized to accommodate wader booties and that you do not need to go up a size, and the boots are offered in US sizes 8 to 13. Other makers say the opposite. (Gary read one maker's advice to go up a size, applied it to a different maker's boot that was already built for the bootie, and now walks like a man with spare room in each boot.) The lesson is that boot advice belongs to the boot, not to the brand family or the angler's memory.

Bootfoot sizing

The bootfoot pairs in our data (Slipstream PVC chest waders and hip boots, Buffalo Insulated Breathable Bootfoot and GWT Breathable Bootfoot) are listed by boot size, 8 to 13. On a bootfoot wader the boot is fixed, so the size is mainly a shoe size, and I would think about the socks you will wear. A boot that fits in a thin sock can be tight in a thick one, and a tight boot squeezes the sock and cools the foot. That is general advice, not a Paramount rule, and the Paramount pages I read give no between-sizes rule. See bootfoot waders for the trade-offs.

What our data shows

At our last check (October 2026) we track 16 Paramount waders on Amazon US, covering chest waders, waist-high guide pants, hip waders and hip boots, and one women's pair (the Whetstone). Every one links the Paramount size charts page. The sizes in the listings fall into groups:

These are listing values from Amazon, not confirmed by the maker, and the maker's chart is the authority.

Buyer feedback on fit

I did not read buyer reviews for these pairs while writing this page, so I won't summarize them. Read recent reviews on the exact pair for comments on length and body fit.

Before you order

Fit matters more than usual here because the maker's store says it does not process exchanges. Per the product pages, a different size means returning the item unworn and unwashed within 30 days and placing a new order. An Amazon seller has its own terms, so check the return policy first.

When the waders arrive, try them on in the layers you plan to wear. Squat, step up onto a chair and raise your arms. Pulling at the crotch or shoulders means too small or too short, and fabric pooling at the ankle means too long. If you are comparing kinds of waders, our breathable waders page lists what the makers state, and the waders page lets you filter by foot type and height. Our types of waders guide explains the options.

Questions people ask

Where is the Paramount waders size chart?

On the Paramount Outdoors size charts page, whose main content is a single chart image, and on each product page, which links a chart image. I could read neither image as text, so I can't tell you which measurements it uses. Open it for the exact model before you order.

What sizes do Paramount waders come in?

On the Deep Eddy product page, regular sizes run SM to 4X and Stout sizes run MD to 3X, per the size selector. In our Amazon US data, the breathable stockingfoot waders run Small to 2XL, 3XL or 4XL depending on the model, and the bootfoot PVC and insulated pairs are sold by boot size, 8 to 13. Check the listing for your model.

What does Stout mean in Paramount waders?

The pages I read do not define it. In our data, Stout appears as an extra set of sizes (MD-Stout up to 3X-Stout) on the Deep Eddy and Deep Eddy Zippered chest waders. The general meaning in the guides I have read is a fuller build at similar height, but the chart numbers for your model decide.

Do I need to size up for Paramount wading boots?

For the Deep Eddy wading boots, the maker's page says the boots are sized to accommodate wader booties and that you do not need to go up a size. That is the opposite of the advice some other makers give, so follow the page for the boot you are buying.

Can I exchange Paramount waders if the size is wrong?

The product pages I read say the store does not process exchanges. To get a different size you return the item, unworn and unwashed, within 30 days and place a new order. Policies change and an Amazon seller has its own terms, so check before you buy.
