Which Compass 360 model, if any
What Compass 360 sells on Amazon US
Compass 360 is shown on the Slumberjack website as a fishing line of waders, waterproof rainwear, vests and wading footwear, including hip boots and a wader support belt. The page does not give a founding date or a history, and it does not say how the line relates to Slumberjack's camping gear, so I'm not going to supply either.
At our last check (October 2026) we track ten Compass 360 listings on Amazon US: nine waders and one wader support belt. The nine waders split by build. Four are breathable stockingfoot chest or convertible waders: the Deadfall, the Tailwater, the Stillwater II and the women's Ledges. One is the Stillwater breathable youth wader. One is a neoprene bootfoot, the Rogue. Three are bootfoot waders in tougher, plainer materials: the Windward PVC chest wader, the Windward adjustable PVC hip wader and the Oxbow 2-ply rubber chest wader.
The table above shows them all. Each value carries a mark. "Maker" means the manufacturer's own page states it, "claimed" is a manufacturer claim with no named test, "listing" is what the Amazon listing says, and a dash means we could not confirm it and will not guess. Compass 360 has maker pages for most of these waders, so the table has fewer dashes than many brands. The exceptions are the youth wader and the hip wader, which are mostly listing values.
The breathable stockingfoot waders
Deadfall. The Deadfall is the model people search for by name. The maker page lists a breathable wader with a PTFE membrane (a thin fluoropolymer film that blocks liquid water and passes vapor), four layers, a 4 mm neoprene bootie, gravel guards and reinforced knees, with a one-year warranty. The Amazon listing says it is for fly fishing. A stockingfoot wader ends in a neoprene sock, and you wear a separate wading boot over it, which gives you ankle support and a sole you can replace. The layer count is a manufacturer claim.
Tailwater. The Tailwater page gives the most detail of the group. It lists a 100% polyester shell, with a 4-ply bi-component upper body and 6-ply lower legs, PTFE waterproofing, seam tape and a DWR coating, double-taped 4 mm chloroprene neoprene booties, attached nylon gravel guards with rust-free lace hooks, and a webbing wading belt with a quick-release buckle and belt loops. The cut is convertible, which means you can fold the top down to wear it at waist height. The warranty is one year. The page does not say what the two components of the upper are, so I won't guess.
Stillwater II. A convertible chest-or-waist stockingfoot with a PTFE membrane, four layers and gravel guards. The page I read doesn't give a bootie thickness.
Ledges. The women's Ledges has four layers, a 4 mm neoprene bootie and gravel guards, in sizes small to extra large, per the maker. Women's waders are cut differently through the hip and torso, so use the women's chart and not the men's.
Stillwater youth. A breathable stockingfoot youth wader, listed with four layers, a 4 mm bootie and gravel guards by the Amazon listing, with a one-year warranty. See kids waders and the youth wader size chart guide.
The bootfoot waders
Rogue. The Rogue BTFT is a 3.5 mm neoprene bootfoot with cleated rubber soles, 200-gram insulated boots, reinforced knees and men's sizes 7 to 13. Neoprene is a closed-cell foam rubber, and the millimeters are the warmth rating. It suits cold, still water. For a walk, you will notice the weight and the heat. Our neoprene waders page covers the type.
Windward and Oxbow. The Windward PVC chest wader and the Windward adjustable PVC hip wader are nylon and PVC bootfoots with cleated rubber soles. The Oxbow 2-ply is a rubber chest wader with two layers. These are the plainer end of the range: heavy, stiff and not breathable. PVC waders have one virtue, which is that they hide nothing. They are stiff, loud and plainly waterproof. They suit short wading in cool conditions, a boat, a dock or a farm pond. Hip waders end at the thigh and suit shallow water; see hip waders.
Wader support belt. The belt is listed at 7 inches wide, in medium, large and extra large. A wide belt spreads the load and holds a chest wader snug around the waist. It is covered on our wading belts page.
Deadfall, Tailwater or Stillwater II?
The three adult breathable stockingfoot waders are close cousins on paper, and the maker data separates them in small ways. The Deadfall is a chest-high wader with reinforced knees and stout cuts, and a 4 mm neoprene bootie. The Tailwater is convertible, with the most detailed fabric description, a 4 mm bootie and a belt in the box. The Stillwater II is convertible with PTFE and four layers and no stated bootie thickness. All three list a one-year warranty.
If you wade deep and want the most coverage, the Deadfall's fixed chest cut is simpler. If you want to fold the top down for warm days, the convertible Tailwater or Stillwater II does that. If you want to know as much as possible before you buy, the Tailwater page is the fullest. None of the three states a waterproof rating in millimeters or a breathability figure, so the table shows dashes there, and I would not claim one is more waterproof than another.
What PTFE and "four layers" mean
PTFE is a fluoropolymer used to make a thin microporous membrane. In a wader it is the layer that stops liquid water while letting vapor pass. The layer count describes how many fabric layers are bonded together to make the wader's body, and it varies by panel, which is why the Tailwater page gives a four-ply upper and a six-ply lower leg. Both facts are the maker's own description, with no independent test named, so I treat them as intent, not as a measured result. What they mean in practice is that the legs, where you scrape rocks and brush, are built heavier than the chest.
Who should buy a Compass 360 wader, and who should skip
Buy a stockingfoot Compass 360 if you want a breathable wader for walking rivers, you value maker pages that state membrane type and layers, and a one-year warranty is enough for you. The Deadfall and Tailwater are the best-documented. Buy a Rogue if you stand in cold water. Skip the range if you want a stated waterproof rating in millimeters, a warranty longer than a year, or a wader built for heavy abrasion in brush.
If you like the idea of a stockingfoot with a documented build, compare the table against best fly fishing waders, which uses a fixed selection rule, and our stockingfoot waders and breathable waders pages.
Warranty
The wader pages list a one-year warranty. Slumberjack's warranty page says its one-year group includes apparel and waders. It covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the original owner only, and Slumberjack repairs or replaces the item at its discretion. It excludes accidents, improper care, negligence, weather or animal damage and normal wear and tear. If damage is not covered, Slumberjack may repair it for a fee plus return shipping. To make a claim, you submit the Information Request Form on Slumberjack's help site and follow the emailed instructions. The page also says terms may change without notice, so read the current page before you buy. Our leak-finding guide is the next stop if you find a leak after the year is up.
Sizing
Compass 360 publishes a fishing wader size chart as an image on Slumberjack's site, and the product pages link to it at the chart URL. I can't read the table from the image and I don't copy charts, so open it yourself. What I can tell you from the product pages: adult stockingfoot waders come in small to 2XL, with stout cuts on the Deadfall; the Ledges comes in small to extra large; the bootfoot waders come in men's sizes 7 to 13.
Measure your chest, waist and inseam over the layers you will wear. A stockingfoot is sized by body, and you choose boots separately, to fit over the neoprene bootie. A bootfoot locks the foot size to the wader, so choose the boot size for your thick socks. I did not read enough Amazon reviews to summarize fit.
Safety
Wear a wading belt over any chest wader. A belt limits how much water floods in if you fall, and a flooded wader is very hard to climb out of in current. Wade only where you can see the bottom, plan your exit before you step in, and remember that cold water can sap your strength quickly.

Questions about Compass 360
Who makes Compass 360 waders?
Compass 360 appears on the Slumberjack website as a fishing line that covers waders, rainwear, vests and wading footwear. The Compass 360 page does not state who owns the line, and the Slumberjack about page I read, which says Slumberjack has been in business over 50 years and focuses on camping gear, does not explain the relationship, so I'm leaving ownership out.
What do the Compass 360 Deadfall waders offer?
On the maker page the Deadfall STFT (stockingfoot) wader is a breathable wader with a PTFE membrane, four layers, a 4 mm neoprene bootie and gravel guards, reinforced knees and a one-year warranty. It comes in small to 2XL with stout cuts in medium, large, extra large and 2XL. The membrane and layer count are the maker's claims, and no named test sits behind them. The Amazon listing aims it at fly fishing.
Is there a Compass 360 Rogue waders review?
I can't offer one, because we don't test waders; this site summarizes the maker's pages, listings and generalized buyer feedback. What the maker page lists for the Rogue BTFT is a bootfoot neoprene wader with 3.5 mm neoprene, cleated rubber soles, insulated boots listed at 200 grams, reinforced knees, men's sizes 7 to 13 and a one-year warranty. It suits cold, still water more than a long walk.
Do Compass 360 waders have a size chart?
Yes. The maker publishes a fishing wader size chart as an image on Slumberjack's site, and the product pages link to it. I can't read the table from the image, and I wouldn't copy it anyway, so open the chart for your model. Adult stockingfoot sizes run from small to 2XL, the Ledges runs small to extra large, and the bootfoot waders run from men's size 7 to 13. Measure your chest, waist and inseam over the layers you will wear.
What is the Compass 360 waders warranty?
The wader pages we read list a one-year warranty. Slumberjack's warranty page covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, for the original owner only, with repair or replacement at Slumberjack's discretion, and lists waders in the one-year group. It excludes accidents, improper care, negligence and normal wear and tear. You start a claim through the Information Request Form on Slumberjack's help site.
Are Compass 360 waders good for kids?
There is a Stillwater breathable youth wader in our data, a stockingfoot with four layers and gravel guards per the listing. A child in waders is a safety matter as much as a fit one: keep an adult close, stay in shallow water, and choose a size that does not bunch or hang loose. See our kids waders page.
Do Compass 360 waders come with a wading belt?
The Tailwater page lists a webbing wading belt with a quick-release buckle and belt loops. We also track a separate Compass 360 Wader Support Belt, listed at 7 inches wide in sizes medium, large and extra large. A belt is not optional with a chest wader: it limits how much water floods in if you fall.
