How alternatives are pickedProducts of the same type from other brands, closest first: same price tier as Dive Bomb Industries's own listings at our last check, then the most maker-published specs. No popularity, no paid placement.
Which Dive Bomb Industries model, if any
Who Dive Bomb Industries is
Dive Bomb Industries is a hunting brand. Its About page says it was founded in 2011 and that it was born out of long days in the blind, starting with a silhouette decoy. It now lists technical apparel, decoys, blinds, field accessories, bags, footwear, coolers and drinkware, all designed in-house, and the page names no founders or location. A fishing site, Flop Industries, sits under the same roof and is linked from the header.
The part that matters for a shopper is how it sells. The About page calls Dive Bomb a direct-to-consumer company and says its goods can be found on its own site and nowhere else. That fits what we see: at our last check (October 2026) we track no Dive Bomb waders on Amazon US. I can't tell you why, and the maker doesn't say. I am not going to guess.
What Dive Bomb makes
The waders and bibs section of the maker's site lists waders, bibs, wading pants and hip boots. Two product groups matter.
Zip Duck Hunting Waders. The collection page shows an adult zip wader, a Bark variant and a youth zip wader. Across the line the maker claims waterproof, breathable materials, a heavy-duty front zipper, reinforced knee and seat panels, double-stitched and heat-sealed seams, fleece-lined handwarmer pockets, adjustable suspenders and waist straps, and mud-resistant soles. The page names no fabric, membrane or denier rating, and it doesn't say which feature goes with which model. A Ducks Unlimited roundup of 2024 waders is more specific: it describes four-layer breathable uppers, reinforced boots with 1,200 grams of 3M Thinsulate, a YKK front zipper, padded knees and shins, and a shoulder strap system without buckles.
Wading Pants. A waist-high pair with a four-layer Toray FOUR-FLEX breathable waterproof shell, a YKK Aquaguard front zipper, reinforced knees, shins and seat, a boot heel spur, and boots with 1200 g of Thinsulate. The page lists a limited lifetime warranty, without the terms.
The maker's page says both bootfoot and stockingfoot options exist and offers breathable fabric for warm hunts and neoprene or fleece-lined options for extreme cold. Without a model-by-model breakdown, I'd treat those as the range of the catalogue, not the spec of any one pair.
How the alternatives in the table were picked
Because there are no Dive Bomb waders on Amazon US in our data, the table above shows 15 alternatives. They were picked by four rules: the same product type (waders), a similar use (only waders the maker or listing puts in hunting, or fishing-and-hunting, use, which here means bootfoot chest waders and includes several front-zip models, since the zip is what Dive Bomb is known for), the closest price tier, and a high share of maker-confirmed specs. They come from Drake, Banded, Avery and Frogg Toggs, and they are in no order of merit. "Most maker specs" is a data rule, not a quality score, and it favors brands that publish a lot on their own pages.
If you are shopping for the Dive Bomb pair itself, go to the maker's store. If you want something close on Amazon, the front-zip rows are the nearest match. The Drake Guardian Elite HND front zip models and the Banded Black Label Elite zipper wader in the table are the ones to compare. For the brands, see our pages on Drake and Banded.
How to read the alternatives table
Every value in the table carries a small mark. "Maker" means the manufacturer's own page states it. "Claimed" is a manufacturer's claim with no lab or standard behind it. "Listing" means the Amazon listing says so and the maker doesn't. A dash means we could not confirm it and we do not guess.
Three columns trip people up on this kind of wader.
Insulation. In bootfoot hunting waders, the number in grams (for example 1200 or 1600) is almost always the insulation in the boots, not the body. A wader can be "uninsulated" in the body and still list a boot insulation figure. That is why some "Uninsulated" Drake and Banded rows in our data still show 1600 g: the name refers to the body. Body insulation, where makers state it, is described in words in the "More specs" toggle under the model name.
Material type. Breathable fabrics let moisture vapor out and suit active hunters. Neoprene is warm, flexible and heavy, and it suits still water and cold stands. Our guide to breathable versus neoprene waders goes through the trade-off, and the insulated page narrows the list to warm pairs.
Warranty. Wader warranties range from one year to lifetime, and many are strap-to-sole or original-owner policies. The number in the table is what the maker or listing states.
Front zip or pull-over
A front zip is the feature most people mean when they search for Dive Bomb waders, so it is worth understanding.
What you get. You can open the chest to shed heat on the walk in, and you can answer nature's call without dropping the suspenders, which anyone who has done the alternative in a layered wader will understand. The zip also makes getting in and out easier.
What you give up. The zipper is one more part that can wear or jam. DRYFT, a fishing wader maker, says on its warranty page that replacing a waterproof zipper is often not cost-effective, and I'd assume that holds for most makers. Care advice for zips varies, so read the maker's page for your model. Our guides on cleaning waders and storing waders cover the general routine.
My rule of thumb. If you hunt long days and get in and out of your waders often, the zip earns its place. If you wade a few times a year, a plain pull-over breathable wader has one less failure point. That's a preference, not a law.
Sizing and fit
Fit matters more than the badge on the chest. Poorly fitted waders strain at the seams, because every step pulls the fabric across a knee or a crotch seam, and the seam is where waders lose their battle. (The Seam has plans, and it waits for your waders to be a size too small.)
For zip waders, size the boot first, then the body. The Dive Bomb Wading Pants list boot sizes 8 to 14 and three body sizes, Small-Medium, Large-XL and 2XL-3XL. The youth zip wader uses a separate scale with boot sizes 2 to 7 in its filter. The maker's pages did not include a size chart, so ask the maker for one, and measure chest, waist, hip and inseam over the layers you will wear. For the Drake, Banded and Frogg Toggs pairs in the table, each maker publishes a chart; the links sit under the "More specs" toggle where we have them.
Buyer feedback on fit for Dive Bomb is not something we can summarise, because we have no Dive Bomb listings to read. For the alternatives, read the fit notes on the listing for your pair. Our wader size chart guide explains how to measure.
Warranty
Dive Bomb's Wading Pants page lists a "limited lifetime warranty" and no terms. The zip waders collection page doesn't mention a warranty, and the About page says only that if you are not satisfied you should reach out and the company will work with you to make it right. That is a friendly sentence and not a policy. Before you buy, get the written terms for your model: what the warranty covers, whether it's for the original owner, and what the maker does for a leak.
For comparison, Drake's warranty page lists a three-year Strap to Sole replacement for most of its breathable models and four years for the BMF1600 Kevlar wader, covering defects in materials or workmanship but not wear, accidents or misuse. Our guide to Drake wader warranties goes through the claim process.
If you buy a Dive Bomb wader from the maker
Whatever you buy, the same checks apply.
- Look for a size chart and a return window. A wader that is wrong in the crotch or the shoulders can't be fixed by a tailor.
- Ask what the insulation number refers to. Boots, body or both.
- Check the boot sole. Rubber or lug soles are the norm in hunting waders; if you plan to wade rocky rivers, think about a stockingfoot wader and a separate boot instead. See bootfoot waders and the bootfoot vs stockingfoot guide.
- Wear a belt. In moving or deep water, a snug wading belt keeps water out of the legs if you fall. That's the one piece of gear I'd call non-negotiable. I'd also take a wading staff if there is any current.
- Rinse and dry after each trip. Hang them upside down in the shade. Mold and mildew are a problem on their own, and at least one maker, DRYFT, says a moldy or dirty wader cannot be serviced.
More ways to narrow it down
Our duck hunting waders page lists every hunting wader we track, and best duck hunting waders applies a fixed rule to them. If your hunt is as likely to involve a river as a marsh, the breathable waders page and the wading pants page cover the other options. For kids, see kids' waders and the youth wader size guide.
Where Dive Bomb Industries shows up
Questions about Dive Bomb Industries
Are Dive Bomb waders sold on Amazon?
We track no Dive Bomb waders on Amazon US at our last check (October 2026). The brand's About page describes it as a direct-to-consumer company and says its goods can be found on its own site only. If you see a listing on Amazon that carries the Dive Bomb name, treat it with caution and compare it with the maker's product page before you buy.
Are Dive Bomb waders breathable or neoprene?
The Zip Duck Hunting Waders page says the line uses waterproof, breathable materials, and a 2024 Ducks Unlimited gear roundup describes four-layer breathable uppers. The maker's page also says neoprene and fleece-lined options exist for extreme cold, but it does not say which model is which. Read the product page for the exact pair before you decide.
How much insulation do Dive Bomb waders have?
The Ducks Unlimited roundup describes 1,200 grams of 3M Thinsulate in the reinforced boots of the zip waders, and the maker's Wading Pants page lists the same 1200G figure for its boots. That number is boot insulation. The maker's pages do not state a body insulation weight or a temperature rating.
Do Dive Bomb waders have a warranty?
The maker's Wading Pants page lists a limited lifetime warranty but does not show the terms. The maker's collection page for the zip waders does not mention a warranty, and the About page only says the company will work to make it right if you are not satisfied. Ask the maker for the written terms for your model before you buy.
What sizes do Dive Bomb waders come in?
On the maker's pages the Wading Pants list boot sizes 8 to 14 and body sizes Small-Medium, Large-XL and 2XL-3XL. The zip wader collection offers a youth range, and its size filter pairs youth sizes from 3T to 12/14 with boot sizes 2 to 7. We did not find a full size chart on the pages we read, so measure yourself and ask the maker before ordering.
What are good alternatives to Dive Bomb waders?
If you want a front-zip breathable wader, look at the Drake Guardian Elite front zip models and the Banded Black Label Elite zipper wader in the table. If you want a warmer wader for still water, the Frogg Toggs Amphib neoprene bootfoot is a different build, with neoprene instead of a breathable fabric. The sections below explain the trade-off.
Are front-zip waders worth it?
A front zip lets you open the chest of the wader to take a layer off, make a call of nature without removing the suspenders, or ventilate on a warm walk to the blind. The cost is one more thing that can fail, so the zipper's rating and how you rinse it matter. I'd choose a zip if you hunt long days and get in and out of the wader often.
